The Challenge:
A leading distributor of construction materials engaged our company to determine the optimal location of a hub that would service a network of regional distribution centers.
Results:
Using a data-driven approach, we analyzed the transportation routes, carrier schedules, warehouse capacity, and volume of product shipped to determine the ideal location of a hub. We provided three alternate solutions considering costs, travel distance, and product usage. The deliverable also included layout and capacity requirements of the proposed hub.
