The Challenge:
A leading distributor of durable medical equipment engaged our company to re-engineer their warehouses processes and update their outdated Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as per ISO standards.
Results:
We process mapped the current receiving, picking, and inventory processes and reviewed with the subject matter experts at the company. The next step was to re-engineer the receiving and picking process to optimized cycle times. Changes made to the processes involved configuring the client’s warehouse management system, SAP. Then we documented the final procedures in detail and provided the new SOPs to the client for review and approval. The SOPs were uploaded through the corporate software for training and implementation of the new practices.
